The brand Holst Garn comes from Denmark and is a little treasure for all lovers of layered knitting. Its founder, Helle Holst, started building the brand out of a passion for minimalist but effective knitwear - the kind that are great to wear and even better combined. Holst Garn is known for its iconic yarn Coast – a fine blend of wool and cotton that is as airy as a summer breeze, but also for its ultra-popular Supersoft, which surprises with its rusticity when dry, but transforms into a soft wonder after washing.
It is interesting that most yarns from Holst Garn are still sold with the so-called spinning oil – protective oil from the factory, which washes off after the first wash and changes the structure of the knit literally before your eyes.
