The mYak brand was not only created as a yarn manufacturer - but as an ethical project that combines the distant world of Tibetan nomads with the luxury of Italian processing. mYak fibers come from yaks, camels and cashmere goats that graze freely on the Himalayan plateaus. Their fur is collected by hand - without violence, only during the period when the animals naturally crawl.
The founders of the mYak brand have been cooperating with Tibetan communities for a long time, providing them with a fair reward, preserving local traditions and at the same time increasing the quality of life in harsh conditions. After harvesting, the fibers are sent to Italy, where they are processed in small spinning mills with a long tradition - exclusively without the use of chemicals.
mYak yarns are incredibly soft, flexible and light, with a natural warmth and matte sheen that give them exceptional character. Among the most famous are Baby Yak Medium, Tibetan Cloud or Baby Yak Silk, ideal for wearable but exceptional pieces.
